ComplexCity - Connecting Experiences
ComplexCity is a festival focused on the urban. Since 2018, it has been annually organised. The festival leverages the transformative impact of human connections to imagine and work towards an inclusive city.
ComplexCity is visioned as an innovative platform to share city realities with one another. The festival aims to create a better city together with people’s participation and their support.
YUVA in ComplexCity
Founded in 1984, Youth for Unity and Voluntary Action (YUVA) focuses on empowering marginalised groups and helping them access human rights to live with dignity, security and in peace.
ComplexCity helps YUVA extend spaces for people’s participation in city making, driven by creativity and a collaborative spirit. It connects people across backgrounds to humanise people’s struggles in the city and erase ‘us’ versus ‘them’ distinctions.
The YUVA team is well-versed to lead ComplexCity engagements, with their decades’ experience of working in the urban. Moreover, the festival not only complements what we do, but helps our teams shape new perspectives on the urban and engage middle class audiences with powerful realities in creative ways.
