As an organisation with a deep grassroots presence, YUVA has always been nurturing street play traditions and trying to use the medium more effectively for change. Our ComplexCity street play competitions since 2018 have seen the participation of 70+ groups. The 2025 competition on ‘Mental Health and Wellbeing’ encouraged young performers to explore the challenges, stigmas, and support systems surrounding mental health.

In the past years, ComplexCity competitions have also included debate, poetry, photography and poster-making competitions.
